I'm not sure what series it was anymore, but I remember reading about an isekai that had the hero transported something like a few hundred to a thousand years in the future of that world. It was neat for him to see how his actions changed the world, but also really depressing when he's learning what happened to everyone he called a comrade. Last chapter I read was some years ago and in that one, one of his comrades still lived, but was on the brink of dying of old age. He was some king of beastkin, and he had kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids to keep the family going, but his last request was to go out fighting.

Whichever series that was, I want that Isekai+Plus series to get animated.

Tj • 1 year ago

I believe what you are describing is New Gate
the guy plays a SAO like game where everyone is trapped but after he defeats it he is transported into the game world. The players were called like High humans or something and after he beat the game the world history describes them as a race that randomly disappeared. He meets up with old NPC comrades he made in the game and the beastkin was one of his comrades.

Yep. I asked Bing Chat and it agrees.

Cipher • 1 year ago

That isekai was truly awesome 👍✨

Rustin Landis • 1 year ago

That might be it. I'll have to investigate! Thank you for taking the time to summarize the series and tipping me (and possibly others) off on the title. :)

Tj • 1 year ago

No problem, I was more like "hey that sounds familiar" and just thought I would share.

that's the not-SAO isekai "New Gate".

Chase Gonzaga • 1 year ago

there's also random isekai everytime

There's isekai as a dummy head lmao.

There are so many isekais this season, I love it!

sidenote for the non-used:
ISEKAI=ANOTHER WORLD
SEKAI =WORLD

lately it's all ISEKAI, but sometimes it would be nice to have a SEKAI instead. you know, time rewind plot where the MC returns back time. Or he dies and is reborn in the same world only a different time.
It would be good for a change of pace. It was from that initial isekai manga all went ISEKAI mode in japan. World Customize Creator manga i think. Not the very first as isekai are older than one can imagine (in 80s and 90s they bloomed already, but new generations don't know this)... WCC isekai was the first and later alot of others came out. IT started a trend. And now we have a surplus of ISEKAI anime too.. not really fond of it when they change the whole characterization "who knows why".. but they're tiring in the long run. and we're running isekai by years now

There's no such thing as a SEKAI category. There's a time travelling category, reincarnation category, so the one you're looking for exists, for example summertime rendering is something like this.

Glasletter • 10 months ago

The closest you've got to a "Sekai" genre is an "Isekai" from the alternate world to earth, I.E. GATE or similar.

LOL The way Setsu slaps Elka's butt was hilarious, her personality completely switched upon learning he's Setsu. I'm glad she's not the annoying kind of masochist so hopefully they won't disappoint with her.

I am liking the premise, I don't think there have been many if any summoning isekai anime where the person gets summoned alongside his classmates after having been summoned already once. I'm a little confused on his origin though, it sounds like he was born in that world but was also summoned there due to the phrasing.

It is unfortunate the hair cut ended up making him look like every other generic protagonist, I prefer the longer hair.

I also thought this could turn dark when the demons appeared, I thought a few of the students were going to get killed and he ends up showing his power to save Yuuhi but it seems like this will be the lighter kind.

Byno • 1 year ago

Arifureta did it already XD

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

That summoning scene heavily reminded me of Arifureta.

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

I can't wait for another dose of Arifureta, many hate it but I actually enjoy it. Especially since his character is fun and does what he wants without giving AF who likes it or not (besides his wifey & adopted daughter of course).

Byno • 1 year ago

Arifureta is a fun one

Underwater • 10 months ago

Yeah its fun

Cipher • 1 year ago

Indeed

Underwater • 10 months ago

i like the Source material more of arifureta

OfficialDrixMalone • 10 months ago

I haven’t seen the source so I can't comment on that, but I've grown to enjoy this series.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

I didn't complete my sentence so thanks for pointing that out.

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Generic protagonist, or as I call it, the Kirito Clone or just a Gary Stu.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

This Kirito looks like Cid though.

Soukoku • 1 year ago

More like Rio
